Effective October 18, 2026
Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to sell you a piece, ship it and keep your contract. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
Who we are
This policy explains how [ATOMBS legal business name] ("ATOMBS", "we") handles personal information, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Our Privacy Officer is [name], reachable at studio@atombs.example.
What we collect and why
| Information | Why we use it |
|---|---|
| Name, email and delivery address | To process your order, ship your piece and contact you about it. |
| Payment details | Handled by our payment provider. We only see the card type, the last four digits and whether payment succeeded. |
| Your typed name and drawn signature on the Agreement of Singularity | To complete and keep your signed Agreement, and to print the copy that ships with your piece. |
| Your initials | To enter your piece in the Tomb, our public register (see below). |
| Email address for new-piece notices | To email you when a new piece is finished, only if you ask us to. |
| Messages you send us | To reply, for example about studio visits. |
What we do not do
- We set no cookies.
- We run no analytics, advertising or social media tracking, and no tracking pixels.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Storage on your device
So the site works without an account, it saves a little information in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
atombs.bag | The pieces you are holding and when each hold ends. |
atombs.claimed | The pieces you have bought on this device, with the name and signature on each contract, so your Agreement and your place in the Tomb appear when you come back. |
You can delete both at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Services we use
- Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers, so your browser sends Google your IP address and basic browser details when you visit. See Google's privacy policy.
- Payment. [Payment provider] processes card payments under its own privacy policy.
- Shipping. We give your name, address and phone number to [carrier] to deliver your piece.
- Email. New-piece notices are sent through [email service].
- Hosting. Our host, [hosting provider], keeps standard server logs (IP address, time and page requested) for up to [30] days for security.
These providers may store information outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of that country.
The Tomb is public
The Tomb shows each sold piece with its contract number, the date it sold and the keeper's initials. We never publish full names or signatures there. Photographs of the piece stay unless you ask us to remove them. You can ask us at any time to remove your initials.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records: as long as Canadian tax law requires, currently six years.
- Your signed Agreement: for as long as the Agreement exists, because it travels with the piece. You can ask us to delete our copy of your signature, and we will keep an unsigned record of the sale.
- New-piece email list: until you unsubscribe.
Security
We protect your information with safeguards suited to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections and limited access. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have your initials removed from the Tomb. Email studio@atombs.example and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
We only send new-piece notices if you ask for them, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we also send emails you need about an order you have placed.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you first.
